Newton Responds to Transport Report Publication
East Belfast DUP MLA Robin Newton has responded to the publication of a report presented to the DRD Minister, Conor Murphy suggesting that there should not to be a light rail system for Belfast, but rather that a bus system would best suit the city’s needs. Mr. Newton urged the Minister to consider both options very carefully before making any final decision.

East Belfast DUP MLA Robin Newton has said that the Victoria Square project should act as a model of best practice for private enterprise and local government working in co-operation. Newton Calls on DRD Minister to Build Rail Link at Holywood Exchange
East Belfast DUP MLA Robin Newton, in responding to figures supplied by the Minister for Regional Development, Conor Murphy, said the increasing number of passengers on the Belfast to Bangor line presented an opportunity to increase convenience levels for customers and passengers at the new bulk retailing stores at the Holywood Exchange and the George Best Belfast City Airport.
