ROBIN Newton East Belfast DUP MLA has welcomed the news of a £100 million private sector investment adjacent to the Odyssey complex.

Robin Newton said,

“The Odyssey site was a vital development of 10 years ago that played a major role in the redevelopment of this part of East Belfast.

Building on success of the existing Odyssey complex and given the on-going work at the adjacent Titanic Signature Project this announcement including two new hotels, 400 apartments, leisure facilities and shops will provide a further boost for the area.

At a time of difficulties for the Northern Ireland economy this key investment is a vote of confidence in the future. It is to be welcomed coming as it does entirely from the private sector.”
