Short Strand Party Leads To Rioting

ROBIN Newton East Belfast DUP MLA has described Sinn Fein’s “carnival” at the closure of the Mountpottinger Police Station as insulting to all those with concerns about this closure and a rubbing of salt in the wounds of the those who wanted to retain the police presence.

Robin Newton said,

"Bringing people onto the streets to this foolhardy and reckless artificial party has led to a riot situation that Sinn Fein was unable to control.

The organiser(s) of this event has demonstrated political immaturity, a careless attitude and not the sign of a mature political representative(s).”
