Newton Welcomes New Jobs Announcement
EAST Belfast DUP MLA Robin Newton has welcomed the opening of the opening and growth of the Barclay Communications call centre in East Belfast.
Robin Newton said,
“Unfortunately there have been many negative announcements in respect to jobs in East Belfast over past number of months, so it is particularly reassuring to hear of those who take the opportunity to bring jobs to the local community, and avail of the excellent talent base and infrastructure available locally.
In this instance the new company will be servicing the SME market in Northern Ireland, which I hope will further improve the level of service available to this critical sector of the Northern Ireland economy.
It is a welcome step that businesses are once again recognising the opportunities open to them to expand their services, and as we work towards refocusing the local economy on the private sector, improving service delivery and competition should foremost in the minds of both new entrants and those with expansion in mind.
I am optimistic that this is the first of many announcements is the months ahead which will show we are turnings around, and are working towards a brighter future.”
