Clarawood Robbery Condemned
ROBIN Newton East Belfast DUP MLA said those who carried out the robbery in Clarawood are blight on our society and have absolutely nothing to offer the community.
Robin Newton said,
“This aggressive armed assault on a small business offering a service within the Clarawwod Estate must be condemned by the entire community.
The violent behaviour and the bundling of the van driver into the back of his vehicle as the thieves stole the cigarettes may have a long-term disturbing affect on him.
The repots of the gun being fired as the getaway car sped away is a particularly worrying aspect of this armed robbery. Those are prepared to act in such a violent manner need to feel the full weight of the legal system and be put behind bars.
Anyone with information on this robbery has a duty to give the information to the PSNI to help take these thugs off our streets.”
