ROBIN Newton East Belfast DUP MLA said, the recent statistics showing the MLA voting records has revealed Naomi Long's dismal record in the assembly. Commenting today Junior Minister Robin Newton said;

"Naomi Long has been at the forefront in attacking so called "double-jobbing" yet she could only manage to vote in just half of the votes between September and June.

I would challenge anyone to examine the records and to decide who exactly the part-time MLA for East Belfast is.

The assembly sits on a Monday and Tuesday to enable MLAs to do work in their constituency the other 3 days. There is no excuse for this record.

Worse than this half-time effort from Ms Long is the dismal 23% voting record of the now independent MLA, Dawn Purvis.  Dawn has commented that "if it is a topic of particular interest to me I will participate and vote". I think it would be better for the voters of East Belfast if she made her decisions on the basis of what interests them!"
