Hit And Run Driver Must Be Put Off The Road
ROBIN Newton East Belfast DUP MLA. said the driver who knocked a pedestrian down on the Albertbridge Road on Saturday night can only be described as a despicable individual without any concerns for the injured victim. To knock down a pedestrian and drive on is a shameful and contemptible act.
Robin Newton said,
This reckless driver could not have known the extent of the pedestrian’s injuries; nor did the driver care. The injured pedestrian ended up in hospital and the thoughtless driver didn’t care a hoot about his condition.
It is only by the Grace of God that this is not a fatality and anyone with information about the incident should contact the police.
A Reckless and uncaring driver such as this one needs to be taken before the courts and put off the road to keep others safe.”
