ROBIN Newton East Belfast DUP MLA, a member of the Policing Board, has described the police actions in taking £100K of cannabis off Northern Ireland’s streets as a job well done.

Robin Newton said,

“The safety of the entire community, but especially our young people, is of concern to all right thinking people. Taking these illegal drugs out of circulation is a welcome piece of work.

It is noteworthy that the National Crime Agency (NCA) was involved with the PSNI in the successful operation. Ongoing and continual cooperation between the PSNI and the NCA is essential as they together tackle the international drugs trade. Putting behind bars those who engage in the evil and harmful drug dealing trade will keep our communities safer.”
